Madhya Pradesh’s former Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, officially filed his nomination on Monday, October 30, 2023, from the Budhni Vidhan Sabha seat in Sehore district. Along with his nomination, he has also disclosed his assets to the Election Commission.

Interestingly, his wife, Sadhna Singh, is considerably wealthier than him. Shivraj’s declared assets amount to INR 3.21 crore, while Sadhna Singh’s assets total INR 5.41 crore.

Comparing these figures to the assets declared during the 2018 legislative elections, there has been a significant change. In 2018, Shivraj’s total assets amounted to INR 3.26 crore, comprising movable assets worth INR 43,20,274 and immovable assets worth INR 2.83 crore.

As per the latest declaration, Shivraj possesses movable assets of INR 1.11 crore and immovable assets of INR 2.10 crore. Back in 2018, Shivraj had disclosed that Sadhna Singh possessed movable assets of INR 88,11,866 and immovable assets of INR 3.32 crore.
