AAP’s Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal on Monday alleged that Delhi government ministers are spreading lies about her. He threatened to take the ministers to court.

He wrote on ‘X’, “Since yesterday, Delhi ministers have been spreading lies that an FIR of corruption has been lodged against me, hence I did all this at the behest of BJP. This FIR was filed eight years ago in 2016, after which both the Chief Minister and the Lieutenant Governor appointed me as the Chairperson of the Women’s Commission twice more. The case is completely fake on which the Honorable High Court has stayed it for 1.5 years and has accepted that no transaction of money has taken place.”

Maliwal wrote, “Till the time I filed the complaint against Bibhav Kumar, according to him, I was “Lady Singham” and today I have become an agent of BJP?” He wrote, “The entire troll army was deployed after me just because I spoke the truth. All the people of the party are being called and told that if there is any personal video of Swati, then send it, it has to be leaked.”

Maliwal said, “Well, lies cannot last long. But due to the intoxication of power and passion to humiliate someone, it should not happen that when the truth comes out, you are not able to see eye to eye even with your own families. I will take you to court for every lie you spread!”
