Assam’s Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, particularly concerning her remarks about Jyotiraditya Scindia and his family. Sarma expressed deep concern, stating that such statements had hurt people’s sentiments significantly.

Sarma emphasized, “The language Priyanka Gandhi used for Jyotiraditya Scindia is highly inappropriate, causing distress to many. When I was associated with the Congress, I closely observed Scindia, seeing him as a capable public servant and a true soldier of the Congress party. It’s immensely saddening to hear such disrespectful words for him.”

Taking to the social media platform, CM Sarma reiterated, “Priyanka Gandhi’s words once again affirm the towering arrogance of the Gandhi family. Though they may consider themselves a royal family, opposing them doesn’t equate to treason.”

He continued, asserting that the existence of this family revolves around one point—claiming an inherent birthright to govern the nation.

Priyanka Gandhi Targets Jyotiraditya Scindia

During her address to a public gathering in Datia, Madhya Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi remarked on the peculiar nature of BJP leaders, specifically Jyotiraditya Scindia, with whom she had previously worked in Uttar Pradesh. She commented on his diminishing humility despite a rise in stature within the party, highlighting his excessive pride.

At this juncture, Priyanka Gandhi accused him of betraying people’s trust, juxtaposing his faithful representation of his family’s legacy with alleged betrayals elsewhere. She mentioned widespread betrayals, citing instances where trust was broken with Gwalior and Chamba’s populace, leading to the downfall of a government formed by the people’s choice.
