Toyota has launched a new top-spec variant, the GX (O), in the Toyota Innova Hi-Cross Petrol lineup, priced between ₹20.99 lakhs to ₹21.13 lakhs (ex-showroom). This variant is available in both seven and eight-seater configurations. Compared to the previous top-spec Hi-Cross Petrol GX variant, the GX (O) comes with additional features and has commenced delivery.

Toyota Innova Hi-Cross Petrol GX (O): Price and Features

In terms of pricing, the Hi-Cross GX (O) is approximately ₹1 lakh more expensive than the GX variant. To justify the premium, Toyota has added front LED fog lights, front parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and a rear defogger to this variant. The interior boasts a chestnut theme, soft-touch materials on the dashboard and doors, and new fabric seat covers. Additionally, it includes convenient features like automatic climate control, a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay.

Distinguishing Features

However, the Hi-Cross GX (O) lacks certain features present in the 8-seater variant, such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and retractable rear sunshade. This accounts for the ₹14,000 price difference, making the 7-seater variant priced at ₹21.13 lakhs.

Available Colors

The Toyota Hi-Cross GX (O) is available in seven exterior finishes, including Blackish Ageha Glass Flake, Platinum White Pearl, Attitude Black Mica, Sparkling Black Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic, Super White, and Avant-Garde Bronze Metallic.

Engine and Performance

Powering the Hi-Cross is a 2.0-liter petrol engine producing 174hp and 205Nm of torque, paired with a CVT automatic gearbox. Toyota claims a fuel efficiency of 16.13kpl for this Hi-Cross variant. While there’s no direct competitor to Toyota’s petrol MPV, it competes with 7-seater SUVs like the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar. However, its hybrid variant stands up against its badge-engineered model, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto.
