The capital experienced some relief from the cold on Monday due to sunny weather.

Temperature Predictions for Delhi

The IMD forecasts that the maximum temperature in Delhi on Tuesday, January 23rd, is likely to be around 18 degrees Celsius. As for the minimum temperature, it could hover around 8 degrees Celsius. Nonetheless, dense fog is anticipated to envelop the city today.

Dense Fog Affecting Northern States

The Meteorological Department’s update includes that dense to very dense fog is expected to prevail in most areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. This fog is severely impacting rail, road, and air traffic across these regions.

Recent Temperature Trends

Over the past 24 hours, various parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar have recorded minimum temperatures ranging between 3-7°C. The lowest recorded temperature was 2.8°C in Datia, Western Madhya Pradesh.
