In a recent statement, Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, the Treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust, emphasized the profound impact of the attacks on the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Mandir in Varanasi, and the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple in Mathura. He advocates for entrusting these temples to the Hindu community as a response to the substantial threats they have faced.
Ram Mandir’s Vital Role
Addressing the media on Monday, February 5, 2024, Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj expressed his views on the challenges faced by these sacred structures. He stated, “It is our fervent plea that these three temples be handed over to us. This step is crucial as these temples bear the brunt of the most significant attacks against us. The emotional distress caused by these temples is deeply ingrained in the minds of the people, and by resolving this pain peacefully, we can foster greater brotherhood and collaboration.”
The Call for Unity
According to reports from the English newspaper ‘TOI,’ Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj remarked, “If these three (Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mathura) temples are liberated, we will have no desire to visit any other religious sites. This is because we must focus on the future, not the past. The destiny of our nation should be bright, and by achieving peace and love through the acquisition of these two remaining temples (Kashi and Mathura), we can overlook other concerns.”
Securing a Peaceful Future
As per the Treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust, “We have successfully taken a peaceful approach for the resolution of the Ram Mandir issue, and now, a new phase has begun. We hope that the remaining issues will also be resolved amicably.” Regarding the Muslim community, he assured, “Considering the circumstances, we will take steps forward and make efforts to appease them. We will ensure that the situation does not deteriorate in any way and that peace prevails.”
