Lok Sabha Elections 2024: From today, a large-scale political struggle will begin in Delhi. Actually, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address his first public meeting for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in North East Delhi on Saturday evening (18 May 2024). On the other hand, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will also campaign for Congress candidate JP Aggarwal in Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency today (18 May 2024).
On the other hand, before the PM’s public meeting, Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Virendra Sachdeva, party candidate from North East Delhi Manoj Tiwari and other leaders reached the public meeting venue on Friday evening (17 May 2024) and took stock of the preparations.
‘This rally of PM Modi will be historic’
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said that PM Modi’s rally will be historic and the enthusiasm of the workers will be visible to the public. A large number of people are expected to participate in this rally. Let us tell you that voting is to be held on all the seven Lok Sabha seats of Delhi on 25th May.
‘PM Modi’s arrival is a matter of pride for our region’
Meanwhile, Manoj Tiwari, BJP candidate from North East Delhi, said, “It is a matter of pride for our region that Narendra Modi, who is a global leader, is coming to guide us. “The people of the area are very excited to see their popular PM and everyone wants to see and hear him closely, so the rally will be historic, for which Delhi BJP has made elaborate arrangements.”
Ajay Mahawar, BJP MLA from Delhi’s Ghonda seat, said, “The PM is coming to address a rally for the first time in Ghonda assembly constituency at DDA Ground, Yamuna Khadar on Saturday at 4 pm. He will seek votes from the people for Manoj Tiwari, who has become a candidate for the third time from North East Delhi constituency.
The security is such that even a bird can’t kill it.
Tight security arrangements have been made in view of PM Modi’s rally at DDA Ground. According to media reports, SPG, security wing of Delhi Police and four layer security of local police will be present during PM Modi’s rally. Not only this, about 2000 policemen will be deployed in and around the rally site to manage the crowd and maintain traffic order. Scanning of the rally site and its surrounding areas has been done. Apart from this, sniffer dog and bomb squad team will do scanning before the rally on Saturday.
Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting in Ashok Vihar
Meanwhile, Delhi Congress leader Anil Bhardwaj said that Rahul Gandhi will address a huge public meeting for Congress candidates of India Block at Ramlila Maidan near Ashok Vihar Sports Complex on Saturday evening at 6 pm.
