The 2024 iteration of the Pulsar N250 retains its engine specifications from the previous model. It houses the same 249cc air/oil-cooled engine, delivering 24.1 bhp power and 21.5 Nm peak torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox featuring slip and assist clutch. On the other hand, the Gixxer 250 also boasts a 249cc air/oil-cooled engine with identical power and torque outputs but comes mated to a 6-speed transmission.
Hardware Comparison
In terms of hardware, the 2024 Bajaj Pulsar N250 receives an update with upside-down front forks replacing traditional telescopic forks. Both models feature a mono-shock rear suspension unit. While the Gixxer 250 is equipped with a 300mm front disc for braking duty, the N250 features a slightly larger 300mm front disc brake. Standard dual-channel ABS is present on both bikes, with the Pulsar N250 offering the added advantage of switchable rear ABS.

When it comes to features, the updated Pulsar N250 now competes head-to-head with the Gixxer. Both bikes come with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and a fully digital instrument console with slipper clutch. While the Gixxer 250 offers an optional 12V charging socket, the quarter-liter naked Pulsar comes with a USB charging port. However, the Gixxer 250 lacks ABS modes, traction control, and switchable rear ABS, features available in the Pulsar N250.

In terms of pricing, the Pulsar N250 is significantly more affordable than the Suzuki Gixxer 250, retailing at just INR 1,50,829 ex-showroom, which is INR 30,000 less than the Gixxer 250’s price tag of INR 1,81,400 ex-showroom.
