Reminiscing about the golden days of Comedy Circus, Krishna Abhishek took a nostalgic trip down memory lane in a recent interview on Bharati Singh’s YouTube channel. He shared anecdotes about his earnings during the show and how being Govinda’s nephew added an extra layer of recognition to his persona.
Speaking candidly on Bharati’s YouTube channel, Krishna revealed, “I joined Comedy Circus solely for monetary gain. I was content with the hefty paychecks I received. They were paying me handsomely, 1.5 lakhs per episode.” He further divulged that he used to shoot two episodes a day, implying an earning potential of up to 3 lakhs in a single day.
Money was the driving force behind his stint in Comedy Circus, as Krishna elaborated, “At that time, I was doing Bhojpuri films and earning 3 lakhs per film. I was thrilled at the prospect of shooting day and night for 30 days straight, envisioning the substantial earnings. They respected me a lot because I was Govinda’s nephew.” Subsequently, Krishna formed a formidable duo with Sudesh Lehri and emerged victorious in the show’s four seasons.
From March 30th, “The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show” will be streaming.
It’s worth mentioning that Krishna will soon grace Kapil Sharma’s show, “The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show,” on Netflix. Reflecting on this, Krishna mentioned, “We’re all coming together for a new show. Sunil Grover has also initiated a new show. Watching Sunil perform live adds an extra layer of enjoyment. His portrayal of a new character is quite impressive.”
