In Maharashtra, the Congress is set to finalize seat sharing with the Shiv Sena (UBTI) and Sharad Pawar’s (Nationalist Congress Party) faction for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. According to sources, Congress will contest on approximately 19 seats in the state. Negotiations have been underway with various allies, and it is likely that Shiv Sena (UBTI) will contest on 23 seats while Sharad Pawar’s NCP faction will field candidates on six seats. Maharashtra has 48 Lok Sabha seats, the second-highest after Uttar Pradesh (80 seats).

According to sources within the Maharashtra Congress, the names of potential candidates have been finalized for 11 seats in Maharashtra.

Uncertainty in Bhandara-Gondiya:

Regarding Bhandara-Gondiya, the Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole is being considered to contest the elections, but a final decision has not been made yet.
