According to Vaastu, house warming is a big ritual, which if done with proper rituals, brings happiness and prosperity in the house.
Wear clean clothes after bathing in the morning. Family members should remain fasting on this day.
On the auspicious time of house warming, decorate the house with flowers and Toran. Make rangoli at the main entrance. Keep lit lamps on urns filled with water on both sides of the main gate.
Worship in the north-east corner of the house. Make Navagraha from grains at the puja post. Then install the Kalash there.
At the time of entering the house, first of all worship the threshold or door frame.
Only fortunate women or Brahmins should be invited to worship the door frame.
