Royal Enfield is all set to launch its new adventure bike, the Himalayan 452, on November 7th. This bike isn’t just hitting the Indian roads; it’s also making its global debut at EICMA in Milan on the same day, capturing the attention of adventure riders worldwide.
The launch of the Himalayan 452 has cast doubts on the future of the Himalayan 411, which has garnered much praise from adventure riders all over the world. Reports suggest that the Himalayan 411 may be phased out after the Himalayan 452’s launch.
In 2016, the Himalayan 411 was introduced for the first time, gaining popularity for its excellent touring and off-road capabilities. It seems that with the arrival of the new Himalayan 452, the old Himalayan might be retired. However, the Himalayan 411 did have some shortcomings that affected the riding experience, but the company had introduced several updates to make it better.
The New Royal Enfield Himalayan 452
The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 will feature a 451.65cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, slightly larger than the existing 411cc unit. It has the potential to generate 40 BHP at 8,000 RPM and 40 NM of peak torque at 5,500 RPM. This engine will be paired with a slip-and-assist clutch and a 6-speed gearbox.
It may offer two ride modes:
performance and eco. Additionally, the Himalayan 452 is built on an entirely new twin-spar frame. It boasts upside-down front forks and an adjustable monoshock at the rear (sourced from Showa). Dual-channel ABS is integrated, along with 320mm front and 270mm rear disc brakes. This bike is ready to conquer the roads and trails with its advanced features and improved powertrain.
